Design Engineer

You know that bit where every company says they're "changing the world"? Yeah, it can feel a little forced. But we like to think our story actually has some realness to it. Our story begins with Shadi Bitar and Ninos Malki, who came to Sweden from Syria as kids and discovered that books could be a bridge - helping them learn the language, understand the culture, and explore new worlds. A thought emerged, what if everyone could have that? And just like that, Nextory was born - your all-access pass to read, listen, and discover new perspectives without limits. And now, we're on a quest to find a Design Engineer. Let us tell you about the role 📖 As a Design Engineer at Nextory, you'll be working at the intersection of design and engineering, you'll help turn ideas into fast, intuitive, and genuinely enjoyable experiences. Together with our six product designers, product managers, and engineers, you'll take ideas from rough concepts to polished features in production. Frontend development is your craft, and you care deeply about building high-quality user interfaces with thoughtful interactions, great performance, and attention to detail. You'll have ownership throughout the entire journey, from the first sketch to the final release, caring just as much about the technical implementation as the user experience. Your story so far 👀 You thrive at the intersection of design and code. You move fast without losing your eye for detail, and you're equally energized by building tools other people use and great experiences for the users. We also believe that you have: Strong fundamentals in modern frontend development - Vue, React or similar architecture Experience building and extending design systems and component libraries in code, including working with Figma's developer tooling (Code Connect, Dev Mode, variables, component properties) to keep design and code in sync. A track record of building internal tools, prototypes, and design-to-code infrastructure used by people across Nextory Skillset to take promising prototypes from rough exploration to polished, production-quality features, owning both the technical implementation and the end result. Good judgment on when to build for speed (a throwaway prototype) versus when to build for scale (a reusable component) A bonus if you also have experience and a keen interest in motion design. The Nextory way of working 🏠 At Nextory, we believe a strong and inclusive culture is key to our success and that culture flourishes when we meet and collaborate in person as much as possible. That's why we spend the majority of the working time at our beautiful office! We are based in Stockholm, Sweden, with offices in Paris and Bangalore. Our hybrid work policy includes four days in the office and Wednesdays as a work-from-home day. Your next story starts here 💫 We look forward to your application 💫. Applications are reviewed continuously, but please note that due to summer vacations, our response times may be a little longer than usual. If you have any questions about the role, please contact [email protected]. Please note that we do not offer relocation and that a six-month probationary period applies.

Project Manager at K.B.A in Karlskoga

For over 40 years, KBA Karlskoga Bygg- & Anläggnings AB has been a close and reliable partner to industry and other businesses in Karlskoga. Here you'll find the experience and security of an established company, while the market is strong and opportunities ahead are many. Now KBA is looking for a project manager who wants to take significant personal responsibility and become an important part of the company's continued development. KBA was founded in 1980 and is today a well-reputed construction and civil engineering company with approximately 30 employees. Operations span building services, renovations, and industrial services, with customers primarily in industry and the public sector. Over the years, the company has built long-term customer relationships and a strong position in the local market. – We have always been a partner that industry in Karlskoga can rely on. We know our customers, their operations, and this market very well. These are relationships built over many years and we are proud of them, says Peter Eriksson at KBA. From First Meeting to Finished Project As a project manager at KBA, you'll have a free and varied job where you follow projects all the way through. You meet with the customer, estimate the assignment, plan the execution, and are responsible for driving the project forward while maintaining control over personnel, finances, and quality. The scope is broad. One assignment might be an extensive renovation in an industrial environment, another a smaller service job that needs to be solved quickly. KBA has in-house expertise in concrete, carpentry, masonry, excavator, and construction work, which means the project manager will be close to both the people performing the work and the entire execution. – Here you really get to take ownership of your projects. You need to appreciate both large and small jobs and enjoy solving what comes up along the way. We have very broad scope and that's also what makes the work fun, says Peter. A Local Employer with Much Ahead At KBA, people work closely together. Project managers have visibility into each other's projects, help with estimates and planning, and cover for each other when needed. Many employees have been with the company a long time, some for much of their professional lives. The family feeling is noticeable in everyday life, from the shared morning meetings and breakfast to the way people help each other when the pace picks up. At the same time, there's the strength of something larger. Since the end of 2024, KBA is part of a Nordic group, which among other things provides access to more development and training opportunities. But the local anchoring remains. Projects are in Karlskoga and the surrounding area, so you won't have travel weeks far from home. Most importantly, there is much to do. Demand is high and KBA has a strong position in a market where industry continues to develop. For someone who wants to take responsibility, develop, and be where things happen, there are therefore good opportunities to build a long-term future in the company. – There's a special team spirit here. We help each other, share our knowledge, and solve things together. At the same time, you get great freedom and the ability to drive your own projects from start to finish. We've been in Karlskoga for a long time, have customers who know and trust us, and see the future very positively. If you want to be part of a down-to-earth team where there's much to do and where you can be part of developing Karlskoga together with us, I hope to hear from you, concludes Peter. Do you want to be part of KBA and help drive future projects in Karlskoga? We warmly welcome your application! Examples of Work Tasks Drive construction and civil engineering projects from first customer contact to finished project. Plan, lead, and follow up on project execution. Responsible for cost estimation, bid calculations, procurement, and finances in your own projects. Lead and coordinate employees and other contractors in projects. Maintain ongoing customer contact and build long-term relationships. Work with both smaller service assignments and larger contracts, primarily in industry and the public sector. Are You the One We're Looking For? We're looking for someone with experience in project management who is used to taking responsibility for driving work forward from start to finish. If you have a background in the construction and civil engineering industry, it's valuable, but it's not a requirement. You could also come from, for example, industry or another project-intensive business. If you have the right experience in leading, planning, and structuring projects, both the competence and support at KBA exist for you to grow into the industry and role. You are experienced in leading others and have an understanding of finances, planning, and follow-up. Experience with larger projects, cost estimation, procurement, or turnkey contracts is a merit, but your combined experience and ability to drive projects is more important than a specific background. As a person, you are driven, responsible, and solution-oriented. You enjoy having much to do, take ownership of your tasks, and can stand on your own two feet, while appreciating a way of working where people help each other and share their knowledge. Since you'll be an important face for KBA to the outside, you also need to enjoy customer contact and be good at creating trusting relationships. A valid driver's license is required. Information and Application In this recruitment, KBA is working with AxÖ Consulting. For more information about the position, please contact responsible recruitment consultant Therése Astvald at telephone 079-347 82 21 or via email [email protected]. The application deadline is 9/20. Postdoctoral Researcher (2 years) in Host-Pathogen Interactions

The Department of Molecular Biology is seeking a postdoctoral researcher to investigate how the obligate intracellular bacterial pathogen Chlamydia trachomatis establishes and maintains its intracellular niche and impacts host cell biology. This is a full-time position for two years with a start date of November 1, 2026, or by agreement. The application deadline is September 3, 2026. Project Description and Responsibilities Chlamydia trachomatis is a globally significant bacterial pathogen and a leading cause of urogenital and ocular infections. The pathogen's unique developmental cycle and obligate intracellular lifestyle enable sophisticated manipulation of host cell functions, but the underlying mechanisms remain incompletely characterized. This project focuses on understanding how the bacterium establishes and preserves its intracellular environment and how it drives disease processes through sustained impacts on host cell biology. By integrating omics-based technologies with molecular genetic, microscopic, and cell biological analyses, the project will generate new knowledge about host-pathogen interactions and create opportunities for future development of innovative treatment strategies. Responsibilities include: · Planning and conducting experiments · Data analysis and manuscript preparation · Presentation of results internally and externally · Collaboration with other researchers · Mentoring of junior colleagues in the research group Qualifications To be employed under a fixed-term postdoctoral appointment, you must hold a PhD or equivalent foreign degree in molecular biology, cell biology, infection biology, or a related field. This requirement must be fulfilled by the time the employment decision is made. For postdoctoral appointments, preference will be given to those who obtained their PhD within the last three years. Exceptions may be considered for compelling reasons, including illness, parental leave, service in union leadership roles, military service, or similar circumstances, as well as clinical work or relevant professional service relevant to the field. Applicants should have research experience in Chlamydia-host cell interactions, including practical experience with human cell cultures, conducting infection experiments with C. trachomatis in cell culture, genetic manipulation of C. trachomatis and human cell lines, and using molecular genetic, microscopic, and cell biological methods to analyze intracellular host-pathogen interactions. Applicants should also have some experience working with omics data. Prior experience with proximity labeling-based proteomics is advantageous. You should demonstrate a strong interest in scientific research and motivation to address complex research questions. We seek someone with clear commitment to high-quality research and the ability to independently plan, develop, and drive research projects. Excellent English language skills, both spoken and written, are required. You should have strong collaboration skills and be able to work effectively in a dynamic and interactive research environment, as well as contribute to mentoring and support of junior researchers. As a member of our team, you will contribute to fostering an inclusive culture and positive work environment. This means communicating effectively across differences, demonstrating willingness and ability to collaborate. You maintain openness and a welcoming attitude, showing respect, compassion, and empathy.
