What Will You Be Working With? Your assignment spans from operational issues in daily operations to analysis, follow-up, and development of our longer-term sustainability work. You are structured and analytical, but also communicative and enjoy a role with many contact points. You may have post-secondary education in, for example, environment, sustainability, or engineering, or have built up equivalent competence through work experience. Perhaps you already work in sustainability, environment, quality, or occupational health and safety and want to take the next step toward a broader sustainability role. Your competence, your strengths, and your interest should help shape the role. Experience from manufacturing industry and knowledge within, for example, ISO 14001, ISCC PLUS, EcoVadis, CDP, SBTi, LCA, GHG Protocol, or climate calculations are merits. Due to the new law on municipalities' and regions' fundamental preparedness (LKRB), you will have a key role in strengthening our resilience against peacetime crises and heightened preparedness. Your responsibilities As a Civil Defense Preparedness Strategist, you have overall responsibility for building an appropriate and equitable preparedness capability throughout the entire municipal organization. You work strategically to ensure the municipality achieves the two-week target, which means ensuring sustainability in socially critical operations such as drinking water supply, schools, healthcare, and care services. Your main areas of responsibility are strategic development where you work with the group on governing documents, implementation, and monitoring of the municipality's plans and preparedness measures. You support the municipality's operations in developing operational capability according to LKRB through collaboration with preparedness coordinators. You develop plans for reserve supply, crisis communication, and safety and gathering places, and coordinate alternative supply solutions. In addition to your main areas of responsibility, you participate in the department's other areas of responsibility: • Education and training: planning and conducting civil defense exercises and training for politicians, managers, and employees. • Safety points: requirements regarding placement, equipment, organization, and more. • Collaboration: with the County Administrative Board, Armed Forces, municipalities, regions, and business sector. • Risk and vulnerability analyses: lead the work on the municipality's annual risk and vulnerability assessment to identify and address operational vulnerabilities. • Signal protection: responsibility for the municipality's signal protection organization. • Security protection: security protection work for the entire municipal group. Who are you? We are looking for you with an academic degree in, for example, behavioral science, social science, political science, civil preparedness, or risk management with a focus on societal security. Alternatively, you have other qualifications and relevant work experience that the employer considers equivalent. To succeed in the role, we see that you have knowledge and insight in total defense. We would like to see that you have worked in a politically governed organization and have experience in developing, writing, and monitoring governing documents.
