The girl lives in Skyttorp with her family. Good train and bus connections are available. Assistance is also provided at the family's house in Denmark during school breaks. It is important that you are careful as there is medical equipment such as a manual mucus suction device, oxygen saturation monitor, oxygen, and inhalation equipment. Experience with tube feeding, TAKK/sign language, visual supports, or communication programs, children with autism and hyperactivity are merits. Training in respiratory monitoring, oxygen therapy, and emergency care is provided by an experienced nurse through Home Pediatric Care at the Academic Children's Hospital. The girl needs help in her daily life with hygiene and care of her gastrostomy, medications, inhalation treatment, adapted drinks and food, respiratory monitoring, and oxygen therapy in high-flow mask with MyAirvo 2 during sleep. This also includes motor and movement training through play and exercises as well as sign language training. You will follow her through her daily life and be present at school, medical visits, outings, and family trips. As her assistant, you will be with her both indoors and outdoors. The girl does not speak but is very communicative through sounds, sign language, and body language. You will be her interpreter and translator with people she meets. She uses TalkPad. As an assistant, you will help and support her in communication using TAKK and TalkPad. This requires good Swedish skills both spoken and written. We are looking for someone who is calm and observant with great patience. You are comfortable working independently. You are experienced in caring for children and have experience working in healthcare. You have a child-friendly nature and enjoy engaging and playing with children. Since this work is with a family with children, we place great emphasis on personal suitability. This is an active, engaged assistance position divided into 2-3 shifts per day. We are looking for someone who can work day shifts on weekdays at school, as well as at the client's home. Most shifts will be day and evening shifts. There will also be two night shifts, all on a 4-week rotation schedule. You are a non-smoker. You need to be fluent in Swedish both spoken and written. We want everyone at Omtanken to feel a sense of community, which is why we maintain close cooperation at all levels. I am a 20-year-old man with intellectual disability and autism. I live in an apartment in Mora but visit my parents every other weekend, and my assistants accompany me. During these visits, the workplace is located in Särna. As an assistant, you follow me wherever I go. I require significant supervision and can never be left alone. I need help with personal hygiene, eating training, and communication support. I do not speak, but instead use various sounds and gestures, as well as an app on my iPod that I can write on with text-to-speech. I enjoy taking the bus, being outdoors, cycling, or taking walks. Doing puzzles, having books read to me, playing games, and using my iPad are things I enjoy. I would appreciate it if you are creative and playful, as I also enjoy role-playing, such as playing store. Going to the swimming hall is also appreciated, but we try to do this when the pool is quieter since I am sound-sensitive.
