We are now seeking two midwives for our Family Birth Unit! The Women's Healthcare Operations Unit (VO) in Malmö is one of the country's leading teaching units with a proud tradition in obstetric and gynecological care. The unit also conducts exciting research and development activities. Obstetrics currently has ten delivery rooms and eight beds for hospitalized pregnant women. Postnatal care consists of fifteen beds in the Family Birth Unit, thirty postnatal beds in the Birth Unit, and home-based postnatal care. Within the section, doctors, midwives, and nursing assistants work in teams. Close collaboration with the delivery unit and neonatal services ensures that patients receive excellent and safe care. The Family Birth Unit opened in spring 2023 in the same building as the women's clinic and complements the Birth Unit and home-based postnatal care, with the new family at the center. We work with a family-centered approach by providing advice and support to new families, with a strong focus on breastfeeding and attachment. The unit consists of fifteen single rooms with space for a partner. The unit also houses three clinics, a breastfeeding clinic, and a home-based postnatal care program based at the unit. 2 position(s).
