Job Description At the addiction treatment center, you will meet patients who have harmful use and/or addiction to alcohol, drugs, medication, or gambling. Some of our patients have psychiatric comorbidity. As a nurse, you work in a team. You are responsible for your own patients and, in consultation with the physician, you perform assessments, treatment interventions, and follow-ups based on evidence-based methods. Together with colleagues in the interdisciplinary team, you identify what interventions are needed based on the individual's needs and what can be offered. Care interventions are based on person-centered care where the individual's participation is crucial. As a nurse, you are responsible for care of your own patients, you develop care plans together with the patient and physician, administer medications, are responsible for monitoring medication initiation and blood tests. The Pediatric Care department in Norrbotten is a county clinic and is part of the Division of Medicine and Emergency Care. Here, the specialties of pediatrics and adolescent medicine and pediatric and adolescent rehabilitation work closely together, and extensive collaboration is conducted with child and adolescent psychiatry as well as with other care partners within and outside Region Norrbotten. Extensive collaboration also takes place with all municipalities in Norrbotten.
