Treatment interventions are both preventive and therapeutic. The interventions are often a combination of psychosocial treatment, medication treatment, and treatment of comorbidity. Job Description At the addiction treatment center, you will meet patients who have harmful use and/or addiction to alcohol, drugs, medication, or gambling. Some of our patients have psychiatric comorbidity. As a nurse, you work in a team. You are responsible for your own patients and, in consultation with the physician, you perform assessments, treatment interventions, and follow-ups based on evidence-based methods. Together with colleagues in the interdisciplinary team, you identify what interventions are needed based on the individual's needs and what can be offered. Care interventions are based on person-centered care where the individual's participation is crucial. As a nurse, you are responsible for care of your own patients, you develop care plans together with the patient and physician, administer medications, are responsible for monitoring medication initiation and blood tests. In meetings with the individual, you conduct assessment and motivational conversations as well as relapse prevention. The work may also include informing and educating other actors about addiction care or conducting patient education. A large part of the work involves collaboration with various community actors and other healthcare. Work Team With us work specialist physicians, nurses, nursing assistants, psychologists, occupational therapist, care administrator, and social workers. About You We are looking for you who are a registered nurse or trained specialist nurse in psychiatry. Experience in addiction or psychiatric care is highly desirable. We would like you to have experience with motivational interviewing and relapse prevention, but it is not a requirement. As you work in constant dialogue with patients and colleagues, it is a requirement that you have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. The work requires good computer skills as you will work in different IT systems. For this position, we are looking for someone who can work independently and is confident in yourself. You should be able to plan and structure your own workday. You adapt easily to changing circumstances and can see opportunities in changes. Being flexible is an important part.
