About the Assignment The man lives with autism and epilepsy and needs support in all aspects of his daily life. On weekdays, he attends a day program between 9:00 AM–3:00 PM. In his free time, he enjoys participating in cooking, taking part in planned activities, and having a daily routine with clear structure. Weekends are often spent outdoors, taking walks or having coffee/snacks with his assistant. Who Are You? You are reliable, self-reliant, and take initiative. We would appreciate if you are an active person with a genuine interest in cooking, as you will prepare meals together during your work shifts. Our client is a positive boy who has a developmental delay that causes difficulties with motor skills and communication. He lives in Båstad with his mom, dad, and three younger siblings. The family lives an active and meaningful everyday life, where you as an assistant are involved. Helping with physical therapy, meals, and activities such as cycling are some of the work tasks. Sign language and pictures (TAKK/AKK) are used as supplementary communication. Experience with this is a plus but not a requirement. What is most important is that you are attentive, learn to interpret our client's expressions and body language, and that you click with our client and the family. We'll teach you the rest. Who are you? You are expected to have great empathetic ability and a good understanding of what appropriate interaction means. You have lots of energy, patience, and enjoy being outdoors.
