We are looking for a safe, committed and positive personal assistant for a girl in Getinge. She lives with her family and needs support in her daily life to live an active, safe and meaningful life. This position is right for you if you have a genuine interest in working with people, have patience, warmth and a natural ability to create security in interaction with others.
About the assignment
As a personal assistant, you will be an important support in both daily routines and various activities. You help her with hygiene, getting dressed and light cooking, and are there as support in structure, communication and social interaction.
She enjoys being outdoors and appreciates activities such as walks, play and outdoor time in different environments. She also likes creative and playful activities such as crafts, makeup and nail painting, but at the same time needs calm and clarity in everyday life. To thrive in the role, you need to be able to adapt to her daily mood and combine calm with playful energy.
Sometimes situations can be challenging, which makes it important that you are confident, clear in your approach and have a low-affect and solution-focused work style. You need to be able to build trust, cooperate with the family and at the same time take own initiatives when needed. Experience working with children or people with special needs and low-affect approach is meriting, but the most important thing is your personality and attitude.
It is meriting if you have knowledge in TAKK (Sign as Alternative and Complementary Communication) and visual support.
About the employment
The position involves work in the home and in the surrounding area, sometimes together with the family and sometimes more independently. The work is both meaningful and developmental, where you get the opportunity to make a real difference in another person's life every day. Working hours occur during all waking hours. The girl has dual assistance during all waking hours.
We are looking for you who want to work on a fixed schedule.
Daytime with dual assistance is 06.30-19.00 where you work a maximum of 3 day shifts per week.
Evening/night with on-call sleep duty 19.00-06.30
Day and night shifts will be combined in the positions.
