QEH Coordinator
About the role:
As a QEH Coordinator, you play a central role in ensuring that our production facilities comply with legal requirements and internal guidelines within quality, environment and occupational health and safety.
You will work closely with operations and, together with colleagues in the QEH field, contribute to developing structures, working methods and culture.
The role is broad and includes both strategic and operational aspects – from developing management systems to supporting daily work in the field.
You have responsibility across several of our facilities, where specific areas of responsibility and distribution are shaped in dialogue based on operational needs and your expertise.
Your main tasks:
Drive and develop work within quality, environment and occupational health and safety
Ensure regulatory compliance and monitor and implement changes in legal requirements
Drive and develop work with our management systems (including ISO 14001 and systematic occupational health and safety work)
Plan and conduct internal audits and follow up on deviations and corrective actions
Manage authority contacts, inspection visits and permit matters
Support managers in risk assessments, investigations and incident management
Responsible for competence-building initiatives within occupational health and safety, environment and security
Work with sustainability reporting and relevant requirements (e.g. CSRD)
Ensure functioning system support for reporting and monitoring
The position requires you to be a structured and self-driven person who thrives in an operationally close role. You find it easy to build trust and can translate requirements and regulations into practical solutions. You combine an analytical approach with the ability to drive matters forward and achieve impact in the organization.
The role reports to our Projects and Sustainability Manager, who is part of the company's management team.
We are looking for someone who has:
Relevant education in environment, occupational health and safety, security or quality. Several years of experience working in the QEH field, preferably in industry or production. Good knowledge of environmental and occupational health and safety legislation and experience with management systems (e.g. ISO 14001 and systematic occupational health and safety work). Experience with audits, risk management and authority contacts. As well as good communication skills in Swedish and English.
We offer:
With us, you get a broad and developmental role where you influence both working methods and results. You become part of an operation where QEH is an important part of the business and where your work makes a concrete difference – every day.
We warmly welcome your application!
We work for increased diversity and an even gender distribution and would like to see a spread in age and ethnic/cultural background among our employees.

We kindly but firmly decline contact from staffing and recruitment companies.
About us
Derome does more with the forest. We harvest trees in our local area and process them in our own sawmills. Approximately half of the timber is exported and the remaining part we sell in our own building materials facilities, as well as to our industry colleagues. Within our Timber organization, you are part of a team of timber specialists who are passionate about close and long-term customer relationships.
