Operations Technician with Coordination Responsibility at the Water and Wastewater Facility

Would you like a central and coordinating role at the heart of Vara Municipality's water and wastewater operations? We are looking for someone to lead and actively participate in the daily work at our water and wastewater treatment plants together with our operations technicians. Your Role As operations manager for the water and wastewater facilities in Vara Municipality, you hold a key role in our socially critical operations. You plan, participate in, and distribute daily work, while formal personnel and budget responsibility lies with the Water and Wastewater Manager. The work also includes monitoring and optimizing processes via the control system to ensure high quality and compliance with environmental requirements. Your role includes responsibility for planning both preventive and emergency maintenance measures, collaborating with internal and external partners, and ensuring a good work environment by following safety routines and guidelines. Your Knowledge and Experience Several years of experience working at water treatment plants, wastewater treatment plants, or other equivalent process industries. System Competence: Good familiarity and practical experience working with SCADA systems. Post-secondary education in operations technology, environmental technology, chemistry, process engineering, or mechanical engineering, or equivalent experience that we consider comparable. Clear experience coordinating different professional categories, leading projects, or acting as a team lead/coordinator in a technical environment.
