The Position and Work Tasks Do you want to help develop a sustainable society and contribute to initiatives that make a difference for both nature and people? Botkyrka Municipality is seeking a municipal biologist for the Nature and Environment Unit. Botkyrka is a municipality with great natural values, several nature reserves, a rich cultivated landscape, and high biodiversity. The Nature and Environment Unit contributes strongly to the municipality's combined nature and environmental expertise. We work with nature and water conservation, environmental monitoring, environmental issues in physical planning, management of the municipality's forests and reserves, and teaching natural science through our mobile nature school program, as well as energy advisory services. With us, you will have a key role where you work both strategically and operatively with issues ranging from nature reserve management and species conservation to physical planning, ecological compensation, and climate adaptation. As a municipal biologist, you are responsible for driving, coordinating, and developing the municipality's nature conservation work. You work closely with colleagues in community development, land and development, park management, and the environment, while also collaborating as needed with landowners, authorities, consultants, researchers, and non-profit organizations. You will prepare and present investigations as well as develop decision-making materials for committee meetings. The assignment includes compiling material in a clear and structured manner, adapting information to the target audience, and verbally presenting materials to committee members. The role offers great freedom with responsibility and encompasses both strategic development work and project management, fieldwork, investigations, and advisory services. Your work tasks include, among others: Strategic nature conservation work, including serving as coordinator for the municipality's nature conservation program, Botkyrka's Green Values. Nature reserves and nature conservation management, such as protection of valuable nature and work with meadows and grazing lands and other valuable nature. Invasive alien species, including coordinating the municipality's work with invasive alien species through developing procedures, guidelines, and work processes. Physical planning and community development, in your role as a nature conservation expert. Project management and procurement, such as leading nature conservation projects from idea to implementation. Collaboration and communication, by informing and providing advice to colleagues, citizens, and external stakeholders. The position involves outward-facing work where you are an important part of developing and quality-assuring the municipality's nature conservation efforts. You contribute to creating clear and effective processes that support the activities' mandate and decision-making. You as an Applicant We are seeking you who have an academic degree in biology, ecology, nature conservation, or equivalent. You also have several years of experience working with nature conservation, biodiversity, or other ecological issues. Other Requirements Experience working with the Environmental Code and other relevant environmental legislation, particularly in areas concerning area protection and biodiversity. Experience in project management and coordination. Experience independently writing reports, investigations, and decision-making materials. Experience presenting and communicating information in Swedish to different target audiences. Driver's license category B. We consider it meritorious if you have: Experience from politically governed operations or other public administration. Experience with nature reserve management. Experience with procurement and consultant management. Knowledge of GIS. Experience working with invasive alien species. Experience with nature value surveys, species protection, or ecological compensation. In the role, you work collaboratively and in close dialogue with both colleagues and external stakeholders on issues concerning nature conservation, natural environments, and green infrastructure. You have an analytical ability that enables you to assess nature values and develop well-founded materials in cases related to, for example, species protection and nature reserves. You are relationship-building and create trusting contacts in collaboration with various operations and stakeholders, which is a prerequisite for the outward-facing work. At the same time, you are solution-oriented and contribute to managing trade-offs and finding functional and long-term solutions in matters concerning nature conservation and land use. The Position and Your Responsibilities We at Falkbergsskolan in Tullinge are seeking you—a certified teacher with qualifications in science subjects, technology, and experience teaching grades 6-9. You will be part of one of the school's four work teams and teach all science subjects and technology to four classes within grades 6-9. In your role, you will conduct instruction in science and technology, along with associated tasks such as preparing and following up on lessons, and grading. You will be part of a work team and participate in the team's collaborative efforts. You will contribute to a good learning environment through active participation in work groups with a collective focus on student learning development. You will also collaborate with other school staff. You will actively participate in the school's values-based work and teach inclusively. You are committed to staying current as a teacher and in your subjects through environmental awareness, professional development, and collaborative learning. Mentoring is a central part of your role through social connections with students and classes, contact with guardians, absence management and development conversations, as well as collaboration with authorities and social services.
