Senior Case Officer, Authority Unit

The Labor Market Administration works to promote the municipality's growth by creating conditions for residents to have lifelong learning and be self-sufficient. We do this with a focus on skills supply and through coordinated operational service to companies where we work to meet complex societal challenges with innovative working methods. The administration consists of three departments: Labor Market, Quality and Coordination, and Campus Trelleborg, and has approximately 100 committed employees. The Authority Unit consists of employees with great commitment and focus on citizens. We are a unit that is close to laughter and think it is important to have fun at work while we support and challenge each other in our daily work. Work Tasks The Authority Unit has two sections: the economic assistance section and the settlement and establishment section. In your role you will supervise and support case officers and establishment coordinators in complex matters. The role also includes being a manager for unaccompanied children currently living in their own apartments. You will be a natural management support and much of the work will involve operations development. Work tasks may vary in degree of overtime based on unit needs. In the position as Senior Case Officer you will participate in cooperation forums with various administrations and authorities. Qualifications We are looking for someone with a degree in social work or other post-secondary education that the employer considers relevant for the position. You should be a skilled administrator, have experience in handling subsistence support cases and have knowledge of social law. You should also have experience in supervising groups and working with operations development. It is a merit if you have previously worked with unaccompanied children as the role as manager requires knowledge of the target group. It is also a merit if you have worked with homelessness issues and with the target group of newly arrived immigrants. Since the position largely involves written investigations, it is important that you have very good ability to express yourself in speech and writing. You are independent, analytical and curious. The role requires great responsibility and good collaboration skills towards partners and colleagues. Your communication skills and good service approach are important parts of the work as Senior Case Officer. Furthermore, you must have the courage to make difficult decisions and be able to handle difficult conversations and situations. We expect you to be an empathetic and secure person with personal maturity and contribute to a good working environment. You should be interested in working based on the individual's own opportunities and resources and with your commitment contribute to developing the operation.
