Medborgarskolan i Kungsbacka is seeking an instructor in ceramics and pottery For the fall term 2026, Medborgarskolan i Kungsbacka is looking for an instructor to lead our ceramics and pottery courses. We are looking for someone who wants to take responsibility for their own groups alongside existing activities and be part of a collaborative effort around routines, workshop, and kiln management. The courses are aimed primarily at adult beginners and intermediate students and are offered mainly in the evenings. Daytime and weekend courses may occur depending on requests, needs, and availability. What does the role involve? As an instructor, you will lead groups where participants develop at their own pace, from basic techniques to more independent creative work. You will: • Plan and conduct ceramics and pottery courses.• Support participants at beginner and intermediate levels.• Create a safe, welcoming, and inspiring course environment.• Work independently with your own groups and collaborate on shared routines.• Help maintain the course space and workshop in good condition.• Take responsibility for firing and kiln management together with the existing instructor. We are looking for someone who: • Has strong knowledge in ceramics and pottery.• Has practical experience with ceramic techniques, materials, and processes.• Has the ability to teach others pedagogically.• Enjoys leading adult participants at different levels.• Is confident, thorough, flexible, and engaged. Formal education in ceramics is advantageous but not required. What matters most is that you have strong subject knowledge, practical experience, and want to share your knowledge in a clear and inclusive way. About the assignment This is a paid hourly position according to the circle leader agreement. We are interested in a long-term collaboration where you regularly teach ceramics and pottery courses for us in Kungsbacka. We welcome your application in the form of a personal letter and CV.
