About the job: The Infrastructure and Construction Department is one of four departments in Kinda Municipality. The other departments are the Health and Care Department, the Education Department and the Municipal Executive Department. The Infrastructure and Construction Department develops society and has a broad mandate. We offer a workplace with creative conversations, high pace and solution-focused working methods. The department consists of just over 100 dedicated employees with varying roles and areas of work. Right now we are looking for someone who wants to develop with us and is curious about working with our water and sewage facilities. Job responsibilities: You will be placed within the Water and Waste Department, which is responsible for the municipality's water and sewage treatment plants, water towers, pressure boosting stations, pumping stations, pipe networks and waste & recycling facilities. Here you will be part of a team responsible for the water and sewage pipe network. We offer you a varied job as a facilities worker with everything from routine tasks such as new installations, repairs, renewal of water and sewage pipes to water meter replacements, pipe inspections, troubleshooting, leak detection, emergency repairs, problem solving and development. If time permits, other minor installation work will also be carried out for other activities within the municipality. As a facilities worker with us, you work both independently and in close collaboration with colleagues and our hired contractors. The work tasks are very varied and opportunities to influence the work are good. Qualifications: We want you to have education within building and construction or other education or experience that the employer deems equivalent. We would like to see that you have several years of experience in facilities work and are experienced with pipe work on municipal water and sewage networks. It is an advantage if you have completed one or more courses from Swedish Water within pipe networks such as introduction/diploma/leak detection. Completed courses in food hygiene, excavation safety, PE pipe welding certificate, safe lifting, chainsaw, hedgetrimmer and road work are also advantageous. We use digital tools for GIS/pipe network systems, work planning, information distribution, filming and more and this is constantly being developed, which means you should have good computer skills or the desire to learn more. You are a person who both can and enjoys working both independently and in collaboration with others and are practically minded, thorough, structured, responsible, initiative-taking and service-oriented. For us it is very important what kind of person you are, so that you feel comfortable with us and we with you. For the position, a B driving license for manual transmission is required. It is also an advantage to have driving licenses type BE, C and a forklift or excavator operator's license. More information and application: The position is a permanent full-time employment.
