Senior Controller

As a Controller with a production focus, you will work close to operations and take great responsibility for profitability and financial management. About the Role As a Controller, you will have a central role in analyzing, monitoring, and developing the company's financial results. You work closely with production and contribute both operational and strategic insights. You are responsible for ensuring efficient resource utilization through profitability analyses and cost monitoring. Budgeting and ongoing forecasting are central parts of your work, as is participation in the financial closing process to ensure high quality in financial reporting. You will be an important part of one of our larger management groups and work closely with key people in the organization. The role also involves active responsibility for developing procedures and systems to continuously improve financial management and reporting. You report to the Finance Manager. Metsä Board is a publicly listed company, which among other things means regular monthly reporting with tight deadlines (especially the first week of each month) and continuous forecasting work. Qualifications We are looking for you who have a university or college degree in finance and a good understanding of the basics of accounting and financial processes. To be successful in the role, you should have several years of experience in controlling, preferably in an operations-focused role, and be comfortable working independently and in collaboration with others to analyze, develop, and drive financial processes forward. Good knowledge of the Microsoft Office package, particularly Excel, is a requirement, while work experience from larger business systems such as SAP is a merit. As a person, you are: - Responsible, structured, and thorough - Analytical with good business understanding - A strong communicator and experienced in managing multiple contact points - Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written Personal drive is a key factor for success in this role.
