Plant Manager - HJO VERKTYG AB
Our history stretches far back in time. More than 50 years, to give you a figure. Since then, a lot has happened in the sheet metal processing industry, and we have of course developed alongside our customers. Today we are one of the leading players in the industry and work daily in a customer-focused way to customize your tools, efficiently and flexibly. Hjo Verktyg has 14 employees and has an annual turnover of approximately 25msek.
HJO VERKTYG IS SEEKING A PLANT MANAGER WITH TECHNICAL UNDERSTANDING, COMMERCIAL DRIVE AND LEADERSHIP THAT DELIVERS RESULTS
Are you a technically skilled and business-driven leader with experience in tools, design or technical sales? Do you want a role where you can combine sales, project management and technical problem-solving with clear responsibility for leading, developing and driving the business forward?
YOUR ROLE:
As Plant Manager at Hjo Verktyg, you get a broad and business-oriented role where technology, sales and leadership come together. You drive and develop the operations in Hjo with a focus on profitability, customer relationships and technical solutions. The role involves being active in the business and working closely with customers throughout the entire process from needs and inquiries to calculations, quotes, projects and finished solutions. With your technical understanding and business acumen, you contribute to creating solutions that both meet customer needs and strengthen business results.
At the same time, you have clear responsibility for leading, prioritizing and driving progress in daily operations. Through present leadership, you ensure that the team has the right conditions, clear direction and a shared focus on quality, delivery and customer value. You work on concept development of tools for sheet metal pressing, such as stamping, bending, drawing and progressive tools, shears and edge pressing tools.
YOU WILL:
Drive and develop operations on site in Hjo with a focus on profitable growth, strong customer relationships and technically sound business practices. You yourself are active in customer dialogues, calculations, quotes and projects, and work to create business deals that are sustainable, feasible and profitable.
An important part of the role is understanding customer needs and translating them into technical solutions within sheet metal pressing tools. You are involved from the first idea and concept through project management and test runs with the customer. Since all work is customer-specific, both technical curiosity, problem-solving skills and a sense for what creates value in each project are required.
As a leader, you create structure, clarity and commitment in the business. You lead employees day-to-day, support priorities and contribute to a culture where responsibility, collaboration and business focus are natural parts of the work.
YOU ARE:
A technically confident and business-driven leader who is comfortable with responsibility for people, customers and results. You combine technical understanding with commercial thinking and view sales as a natural part of creating value, development and profitability. You are relationship-focused, active in customer dialogues and have the ability to understand needs, identify business opportunities and translate them into concrete solutions.
We would like to see that you have relevant technical education or equivalent work experience, as well as several years of experience in sales and/or design within sheet metal pressing tools. Experience in project management, customer relationships, business systems and the Office package is important for the role. Previous experience in sheet metal processing production is valuable, but not decisive for success in the role.
Previous leadership experience is important, as is the ability to combine leadership with active sales and business development work. Merits include experience in advanced technical sales, knowledge of tool steel materials and SolidWorks. Your technical interest, your business orientation and your desire to create results together with both customers and colleagues are decisive for success. At the same time, personal qualities are very important.
YOU GET:
A central and business-oriented leadership role in a technically advanced operation where every project is customer-unique and where you get to be involved in and influence both business deals, work methods, people and results. The role offers great variety, close customer contact and the opportunity to drive technical solutions from idea to finished test run. You get the opportunity to lead a competent team while being active in developing the business. Here is room to contribute with structure, strengthen customer relationships, create new opportunities and build on an operation with high technical expertise and great potential.
Through collaboration within Prototypen AB and with companies like Östrand & Hansen, you gain access to broad expertise and unique capacity within tools, prototypes and technical solutions. Together there are good opportunities to create strong customer solutions and develop profitable business.
Here you get to work in an environment where technology, sales, problem-solving and leadership are at the center and where you as Plant Manager get an important role in driving Hjo Verktyg forward.
