Drama Educator at Heby Cultural School

We are seeking a drama educator for the Cultural School in Heby Municipality who will also work collaboratively and innovatively with musicals and other art forms. The Role You are an inspirational educator who can give our children the opportunity to imagine, create, and dream. You get children to dare to take on new roles, movements, games, aesthetic processes, and gather around a shared story or creative process. You are passionate about providing cultural opportunities for everyone and have a special heart for children in rural areas. You will be responsible for planning, leading, and developing courses and cultural school activities for children and young people. You will collaborate with schools, parents/guardians, and other stakeholders. The work requires great independence, the ability to cooperate, and maintain contact with schools to arrange times and facilities, primarily in the villages of Heby and Östervåla. Who We Are The Cultural School is part of Culture & Recreation, which also includes Libraries, Youth Activities, Community Organizations, and Swimming and Sports Halls, enabling good collaborations. Seven educators at the Cultural School work with courses in instruments, singing, dance, and theater. Most recently, we are developing musicals as a subject. Currently, Heby Cultural School offers courses in our own facilities in the villages of Heby and Östervåla. We also have a branch in Tärnsjö. Since Heby is a rural municipality with small schools scattered across villages and hamlets, we also have outreach activities and good collaboration with the schools. The Cultural School wants to continue developing, making culture accessible to all, and is therefore seeking you to work preventively together for the best interests of the children. Are You the One? We believe you are a theater/drama educator or have other relevant education in culture, theater/drama, performing arts, and have pedagogical experience. Other pedagogical education is a merit. You should be able to work collaboratively with musicals or other art forms and have a natural ability to collaborate with others. You are aware of children's developmental processes and the challenges and identity formation of young people. Good IT skills and a B driver's license are required. As a person, you are empathetic and can quickly understand another person's perspective or situation. You are good at structuring and prioritizing your work and can see opportunities in change. Furthermore, you are creative and often come up with ideas and new approaches to work-related issues. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
