Our Operations Munkmoraskolan is a small school serving grades F-5. The school is centrally located in Värmdö municipality with good public transportation connections and proximity to nature. We have approximately 165 students and a staff with low turnover. The school's size is one of our many strengths. At Munkmoraskolan, everyone knows each other and people thrive. Munkmoraskolan is the only municipal school in Värmdö municipality that is certified as a Generation PEP school. This means, among other things, that mealtimes have a central place in our operations and our vision work. Good quality, nutritional content, and meals prepared largely in our own kitchen are self-evident to us. We also want to inspire students to dare to try new flavors and dishes. Munkmoraskolan serves breakfast, lunch and snacks to our students every day, and also sells food to other units. Your Assignment As a food service assistant with us, you will work in a team together with two chefs and also closely with other school staff and students. Your tasks will include preparing and serving breakfast, lunch and snacks, preparing salad buffets, handling dishwashing, and continuously keeping the kitchen clean. In the kitchen, you take turns with the tasks that need to be done; therefore, you may need to assist with cooking in the industrial kitchen as needed. A very important part of the job is contributing to a good atmosphere in the dining hall where students, our guests, feel safe, seen and understood. Your Experience You have restaurant training at the secondary level and/or chef training or other experience that the employer deems equivalent. Basic knowledge of special diets is a merit, as is experience cooking in an industrial kitchen. Your ability to understand and use Swedish, both orally and in writing, is very good. Your Personal Qualities Collaboration skills - You need good collaboration skills since you work closely together in the kitchen. Independent - You can work independently and take your own initiative. Flexible - No two days are alike in the school world and you need to be able to adapt to situations that arise.
