Elementary School Music Teacher

Funäsdalens skola is an F-9 school with an accompanying after-school program. The school is centrally located in the village at the foot of Funäsdalsberget, with views over Funäsdalssjön and the gondola as our nearest neighbor. Our proximity to nature significantly shapes our activities, which literally has a ski-in ski-out location. The school currently has approximately 260 students. Our approximately 40 staff members consist of teachers, pedagogues, student support team, and principal. Västra Härjedalen is developing and our schools are growing. We are now seeking a teacher to instruct music in grades 1-9. This position is a temporary assignment and is filled subject to required decisions being made. We welcome your application! Job Responsibilities Your main task is to plan, implement, and follow up on instruction according to the curriculum. You collaborate with colleagues and keep student learning development in focus. You are part of a work team where you participate actively and contribute with your own ideas and previous experience. You are flexible and work systematically to create a clear and stimulating learning environment. You have a creative approach and succeed in capturing and creating a desire to learn based on different students' needs. We work with digital tools in instruction, which means you need to have good IT skills. Qualifications You have good leadership both in and outside the classroom, which is anchored in the school's curriculum and values. You are flexible and have the ability to adapt instruction so that all students achieve results. You are someone who can both give and receive help and support. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability. Personal Qualities Teacher certification and good knowledge of the school's governing documents are required. For this position, providing an extract from the police criminal record is a prerequisite for employment.
