Are you an experienced chemist with deep expertise in PFAS and a strong drive to develop analytical operations in a Nordic environment?
We are now seeking a PFAS specialist for a key role with responsibility for method development, quality assurance, and technical development within the PFAS field.
This is a strategically important role for our continued investment in PFAS, where you will have the opportunity to combine specialized knowledge and development work in an operation with high quality requirements, advanced laboratory environment, and strong customer focus.
About the position
As a Development Chemist within PFAS, you will be a technical key person in our regional development team. The role involves close collaboration with laboratories in the Nordic region and an important responsibility for developing and strengthening our PFAS operations. The role combines strategic development work with practical laboratory work, including instrument operation, troubleshooting, and quality assurance.
The role entails significant independent responsibility and excellent opportunities to influence method selection, technical direction, and approaches within the PFAS field.
You will be responsible for:
developing, optimizing, and implementing robust PFAS methods with a focus on advanced applications within LC-MS/MS
streamlining analysis workflows and production processes through automation and improved control systems
driving technical improvement projects between laboratories in the Nordic region and ensuring harmonized working methods
identifying and implementing global best practice within PFAS
You will primarily lead method development, validation, and verification of PFAS analysis methods using LC-MS/MS technology at our Danderyd laboratory. The role also includes preparing instructions, training colleagues, and contributing to competence development within the operation.
You will also provide support to local PFAS coordinators and other staff in PFAS analyses as well as some technical advice and consultation to customers, both internally and externally.
We are an accredited laboratory according to ISO 17025 and offer our customers short turnaround times. This means that work must be performed efficiently, systematically, and with high quality.
The role also includes responsibility for working in accordance with applicable HSE, safety, and environmental requirements as well as contributing to safe and sustainable laboratory work.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with an academic education at master's level in analytical chemistry, with several years of experience in PFAS analysis.
You have:
documented experience with PFAS analysis using LC-MS/MS
familiarity with method validation according to ISO 17025
experience with technical improvements and process optimization as well as project management
strong analytical ability and problem-solving skills
To thrive with the tasks, you should be analytical, structured, and quality-conscious, as well as capable of independently driving method development work from idea to implementation. The role also involves travel within the Nordic region, which requires that you are comfortable in a regional and collaborative environment.
It is important that you have a good command of Swedish and English, both written and spoken, as well as experience in consulting.
Working hours
Working time is 37.5 hours per week during daytime hours (Monday – Friday)
