The project is financed through Interreg Sweden–Norway, EU funds, and the West Sweden Region, Environment and Regional Development Board. Through collaboration between actors on both sides of the border, the project explores how reuse, smarter material use and circular solutions can reduce the industry's environmental impact. The project aims to create conditions for the interior design industry to transition to circular flows at all levels: from public procurement to sawmills, forest owners, designers, manufacturers and reuse actors. As a workshop technician, you have a central role in the project's practical, exploratory and workshop-based development work. The position encompasses more than traditional workshop technical support and also includes responsibility for leading and coordinating practical development processes within the project. You create conditions for ideas about sustainable and circular wood-based interior production to be tested, shaped, developed and documented in concrete form. The role involves both practical implementation and active development responsibility. You are expected to be able to drive your own processes, take initiative for tests and prototypes, support process leaders and participants, and contribute to making the project's development work feasible in practice. In the Interreg project Forest to Chair, you will lead exploratory processes together with companies that want to transition and create circular solutions in practice. We are looking for someone who is passionate about innovation, wood, and sustainable development—and who wants to make a concrete difference in an industry in transition. Now HDK-Valand is seeking an engaged and driven project manager who will work as a process leader (50% employment) with responsibility for the work packages within production.
