As an operations technician during the winter season, you will primarily work with snow removal and maintenance of runways, taxiways, and aircraft parking areas. When it is not snowing, your work tasks vary and may include cleaning and technical maintenance of the airport's surfaces and equipment, as well as supporting other departments at the airport. The position involves physical work with tasks such as cleaning, vegetation clearing, baggage handling, and passenger assistance. Work pace varies and can be high during certain periods, while very calm during others. Since the airport is open 24 hours a day and every day of the year, it means working during days, nights, and weekends. Approximately 50 percent of your working time will be scheduled at night. The position is a seasonal employment, approximately between October and April. Who are you?
