The position is placed at the Faculty of Medicine. Departmental placement is determined in connection with the appointment. Facilities, other infrastructure, and resources for the position are financed according to the faculty's current model. The position will be combined with employment as a specialist physician/senior physician. Since the subject is defined as medical research, there is no specific need to fill. The purpose of the appointment is to recruit internationally competitive researchers with documented ability to conduct independent, high-quality research and with clear potential to develop into future leaders in academia. Duties Duties primarily include independent research and development work as well as supervision of master's and doctoral students, but also teaching at undergraduate level, leadership, and administration. Other duties may also be included. Qualifications Eligible for appointment as a lecturer according to the Higher Education Ordinance 4 chapter 4 § is a person who has both demonstrated pedagogical competence and completed a doctoral degree or has equivalent scientific competence or other professional competence that is relevant considering the subject content of the position and the duties to be included in the employment. The applicant must have completed university pedagogical training equivalent to at least five weeks or acquired equivalent knowledge in another way, unless there are special reasons. The employee must then complete university pedagogical training during the first two years of employment to meet this requirement. Since the appointment as university lecturer is combined with employment as a specialist-trained physician, the applicant must have a specialist competence certificate and possess the necessary knowledge of Swedish required for the medical profession according to the definition of the National Board of Health and Welfare at the time of taking up the clinical position (Swedish language skills, at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe scale, which also accepts equivalent knowledge of Norwegian or Danish). Assessment Criteria The applicant must have demonstrated scientific and pedagogical competence of significance to the subject. Special weight will be given to scientific competence in the assessment. The applicant must have demonstrated scientific competence by maintaining a good national and international level as a researcher and have well-documented scientific competence. The applicant must have a doctoral degree within a subject area relevant to the position. Scientific competence must be documented through an independent research profile that has made an international impact. This means that the applicant has established a distinct research line that is separate from previous advisors or research environments, has ongoing grants obtained in competition with the applicant as principal investigator, experience of a postdoc period conducted in an environment other than where the applicant received their doctoral degree, and publications in peer-reviewed journals. Particular consideration is given to publications with the applicant as a senior author. Weight will also be placed on pedagogical competence and ability to supervise master's students and doctoral candidates. Pedagogical competence must be demonstrated both in teaching and in supervision at undergraduate, advanced, and doctoral levels. Consideration will also be given to demonstrated ability in leadership, collaboration, clinical competence, and demonstrated ability to interact with the surrounding society. Regarding clinical competence, experience of independent work in healthcare is required where the applicant has current clinical activity. In the appointment, scientific development potential will be particularly emphasized. This includes the ability to build and lead a competitive research environment in the long term. The applicant's research profile must further have the potential to strengthen the faculty's international impact and contribute to the development of excellent research environments. Senior/Specialist Physician for Forensic Psychiatry, Skåne Region, Southern Area

Forensic Psychiatry in Skåne is part of the Department of Psychiatry, Rehabilitation and Assistive Devices and operates in Trelleborg, Malmö, Helsingborg, Kristianstad, and Hässleholm. We care for approximately 300 patients and provide both inpatient and outpatient services, allowing us to follow patients over time. All patients begin their care in inpatient settings and can then transition to outpatient forensic psychiatric care. To meet patients' care needs, various professionals are assigned to each patient. Care content and delivery are well documented in the department's ISO-certified management system. Forensic Psychiatry cares for individuals court-ordered to forensic psychiatric care under the Forensic Psychiatric Care Act (LRV). The most common diagnoses are psychotic disorders with significant functional impairment, often combined with substance use. Our patients often need assistance with finances, appropriate housing, and meaningful activities. Collaboration with the patient's support network is central. The goal of forensic psychiatric care is to rehabilitate individuals with serious mental health issues to live in society with reduced risk of reoffending. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES As a specialist physician in forensic psychiatry, you work under delegation from the chief physician with responsibility for patient care and treatment. You assess, treat, and evaluate together with the team to advance the patient's care process. As a physician, you have a central role in our team-based approach. Together with the team, you collaborate with the patient's support network by participating in coordination meetings. You prepare documentation for assessments before interventions from, for example, social services or the public guardian board. Care planning and applications to the Administrative Court are also part of your role. You participate in development work within the unit and across the department. You will be employed in the Forensic Psychiatry Department with primary placement at the outpatient clinic in Malmö. The clinic consists of three multiprofessional teams with one specialist physician per team. We work according to the FACT model. Some service may be provided at the inpatient facility at the Forensic Psychiatric Center (RPC) in Trelleborg by agreement. In the evenings and on weekends, there is an on-call line for inpatients in Trelleborg, in which all physicians in the department serve according to schedule. We are now seeking a chief physician or specialist physician for the BUP outpatient clinic and one for BUP intermediate care. Both units are located at Rönnowsgatan 10D in Helsingborg. You can easily get there by bike, train, or car. Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (BUP) has the mission to provide specialized child and adolescent psychiatric care for patients up to 18 years old. In Northwest Skåne, there are outpatient clinics in Helsingborg, Ängelholm, and Landskrona. Our shared intermediate care includes intermediate care for children ages 6 to 18, a family unit for ages 0 to 18, a small eating disorder team, and infant services for patients between 0 and 6 years old. These services complement the efforts provided by the outpatient clinics. Inpatient care is located in Malmö. At BUP Intermediate Care in Helsingborg, we work daytime, Monday to Friday, with assessment and treatment work. Work takes place primarily in our facilities but can also occur in homes or other locations, though only exceptionally for physicians.
