Welfare Fraud Coordinator, Economics Department, Support and Care

About the role As a coordinator, you will be a key person in preventing, detecting, and handling irregularities within the welfare systems. You will drive development, collaborate with authorities, and help create security and legal certainty for our citizens. Your responsibilities Coordinate the municipality's work against welfare fraud and ensure consistent procedures. Conduct risk analyses and develop internal control plans. Investigate suspected irregularities and document cases. Build and maintain collaboration networks with both internal and external partners such as the Police, the Swedish Social Insurance Agency, the Swedish Tax Agency, and other stakeholders. Responsible for reporting deviations and notifications as required when irregularities are discovered. Train and support operations on welfare fraud and risk management issues. Participate in developing policy documents and action plans. Inform, introduce, train, and guide in the operations. Keep up with new legislation related to the assignment and translate it into procedures and working methods. About you We are looking for someone who is analytical and structured with well-developed problem-solving skills. You have good communication and teaching abilities, which enable you to create understanding, engagement, and participation in the organization. You thrive in environments where collaboration is central and have an easy time building networks and driving collaborations forward in a trust-building way. You also have high integrity and good judgment, and you act confidently and stably even in pressured or critical situations. You have a holistic perspective in your work and take clear responsibility for contributing to the entire operation's development, with a particular focus on preventing and counteracting welfare fraud. We place great importance on personal suitability. Requirements Relevant university education, for example as a social worker or economist. Experience with investigative work in the public sector. Good knowledge of the Social Services Act, LOV/LOU, and confidentiality legislation. Experience and/or ability to analyze financial flows and identify risks. Digital competence and experience working with case management systems. Unobstructed knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing, and good knowledge of English. You're responsible for ensuring stable and efficient operations through preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and improvement work.
