Best Side Gig in Vimmerby – Earn Money Where the Party Is!
Best side gig in town – earn money where the party is! "A year ago, I barely knew what blackjack was. Now I'm working at Cherry's coolest bars, running the tables, and earning more than a lot of my friends." – Linn, 21 years old What's it really like to work as a blackjack dealer? Linn, one of our team members, shares: What the job is actually about: You stand at the blackjack table, deal the cards, keep track of the game, and make sure everyone's having a good time. You set the vibe. One night you might have a table full of bachelorette party girls, the next night a company doing their holiday party, and then a fun group out for after-work drinks. You're the face of the experience – warm, clear, professional. And no, you don't need to know anything about cards or games. The only requirement is that you're social, calm under pressure, and actually enjoy meeting people. You'll learn the rest through Cherry's free internal training. Why this job? I've tried most things like cashier, serving, telemarketing. This is the first side gig that actually feels like more than just trading hours for money. Why you should choose Cherry: No two nights are the same, so there's virtually no risk of getting bored. You get paid to be social and present in a fun environment, not to hide behind a screen or in a back room. Every shift is a journey discovering new people, so you get really sharp at reading people, chatting, and staying on top of things (without even thinking about it). You notice pretty quickly that you're a big part of the vibe, and without you it's just not the same flow. You're building experience that makes you amazing at all service jobs (and honestly, life in general). It's a flexible job that you can combine with studies or other commitments. About Cherry: Cherry Spelglädje has existed since 1963 and is Sweden's largest operator of land-based commercial gaming, serving over 80% of the market. We're about 600 people spread across 40 districts throughout the country. On the floor, Cherry feels like a great team where community is strong and many find lifelong friends. Who we think fits: We're looking for someone who contributes to a good atmosphere at the tables, creates a safe gaming environment, and makes guests feel welcome. You can tell right away when the right person is there. You're a social person who loves the energy and doesn't get stressed when things move fast. You think evenings and weekends are prime time. The practical stuff: Scope: minimum 4 weekend evenings/month, approximately 20 hours – more if you want Hours: evenings and nights, primarily Fridays and Saturdays Wage: from 161 kr/h + overtime pay, commission, vacation pay, pension contributions Collective agreement via HRF, affiliated with Visita. Age requirement: 18 years old This is one of the few jobs where it actually matters who you are as a person, not what's on your CV. Send in your application right away, and I hope we see you soon! If you have any questions before applying, give Chelsea a call or email her – she's the location manager in Vimmerby, Västervik, and Oskarshamn.
