The Position: Our team is growing and we are now seeking 2 assistants on almost full-time basis. Both positions include work every other weekend. Hi there! Our boy is a ray of sunshine who loves to smile! He uses a wheelchair (which you will operate), has epilepsy, and is fed via PEG. He cannot speak verbally and has an intellectual disability, so his mental age is much younger than his physical age. Your willingness to communicate on his terms is important as good interaction is a large part of the work. Do you have experience with PEG, breathing issues, intellectual disabilities, and epilepsy? That's a big plus! He has a progressive disease and changes in care and needs occur from time to time, so you need to be familiar with his routines which are adjusted monthly.
