From its inception, the Disaster Medicine Center has applied a progressive approach to disaster medicine with a clearly interdisciplinary and interprofessional approach. The disaster medicine field is currently particularly relevant in relation to strengthening healthcare preparedness in total defense, while disaster medicine issues recur across multiple societal challenges such as climate change, cyberattacks, terrorism, and pandemics. About the Academy for Police Work At the academy, the Police Program is conducted at the University of Borås. The Police Program is a commissioned education provided on behalf of the National Police Authority and leads to a university degree of 120 credits in police work. The academy also offers a bachelor's program in police work with a focus on criminal investigation. The academy also offers standalone courses in criminology.
