About the Trauma Platoon The Trauma Platoon consists of the Swedish Armed Forces' only two full-time trauma teams together with command and support functions. The Trauma Platoon also supports the development of trauma teams throughout the Swedish Armed Forces. The Role of Specialist Physician The work is conducted in specialized teams where you, based on your expertise, collaborate with dedicated colleagues from various professions. At our pediatrics and adolescent medicine clinic, we work within several pediatric areas, including endocrinology, gastroenterology, allergology, neurology, and infectious diseases. Specialist care in the Jönköping Region also has primary responsibility for children under 1 year of age. We have a well-established collaboration with stakeholders around the child, such as the children's clinic, child health services, and social services. Mentoring and knowledge transfer to younger colleagues is a natural part of the work. We have an educational responsibility for trainee physicians within pediatrics and general medicine, among others. Our operations is also a training site for medical students in connection with their work-based education during the pediatrics course. You will work daytime Monday through Friday in outpatient pediatric care at the pediatrics and adolescent medicine clinic in Jönköping. The position also includes on-call work as primary on-call at the children's clinic at Länssjukhuset Ryhov—one Saturday or Sunday, and one weekday evening every fourth week. The position is a permanent full-time employment with start date by agreement. Your Future Workplace The Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine Clinic is a well-established pediatric specialist operation with a clear mandate in outpatient care for children and young people. We are located in Jönköping, Eksjö, and Värnamo, and the unit also includes Child and Youth Health—three clinics that meet children with mental health issues at the primary and first-line level. Our clinics are characterized by good collaboration, high expertise, and a positive work environment. In Jönköping, the team consists of approximately 25 dedicated employees—pediatricians, pediatric nurses, and administrative staff. Together across the unit, we are just over 120 employees, including approximately 25 specialist physicians, 5 trainee physicians, and 25 specialist nurses who all contribute to a secure and well-functioning operation. The team is very functional and stable with close and good collaboration with colleagues across the region; the physician group has regular opportunities for professional development. Your Profile We are looking for you who are a licensed physician with specialist competence in pediatrics and adolescent medicine. You can be a senior physician, specialist physician, or in the final stages of your training in pediatrics.
