As an activity coach within daily activity services, you support people who have been granted support under the Act on Support and Services to Persons with Disabilities (LSS). This can be physical, mental, or intellectual disabilities. The daily activity center's content is based on activities that should contribute to increased social skills training. As an activity coach, you provide pedagogical support and care to promote our customers' abilities and independence. You plan, prepare, and guide based on each individual's needs. This can include providing support in social activities, during meals, and with hygiene routines. As an activity coach, you work with various communication tools such as Alternative and Augmentative Communication (AAC) and digital aids. The work also involves documenting the customer's development and needs to monitor and ensure that each participant receives the right support and assistance. About Sund In October 2026, Frösunda is opening a new day activity center in Helsingborg for people with comprehensive support needs who want an active and meaningful everyday life. The facility is located in Råå, close to the sea, nature, and green spaces. Here we want to create a everyday life filled with joy, movement, and community. Activities are designed together with the participants and adapted to their interests, abilities, and daily condition. For example, walks, exercise, creative activities, music sessions, and sensory stimulation activities. Garden activities such as cultivation and outdoor activities in the facility's own garden will also be part of the work tasks. The facility is divided into two departments. One department is aimed at people who need a calmer environment and more individual support. Challenging behavior may occur. There are separate work rooms where you can work individually in a safe and secluded environment. The other department suits people who enjoy being in community and interaction with others. Here there are shared spaces where activities and work tasks can be carried out together, with a focus on cooperation, social exchange, and shared experiences. The facility works with clarifying pedagogy and uses Alternative and Augmentative Communication (AAC) when needed to create understanding, participation, and security in everyday life. We are looking for staff who enjoy being in a social setting where you can contribute with your positive, encouraging attitude and help build community and self-esteem for our participants. At day activity center Sund, you get to be involved from the beginning and shape the facility over time based on both your own, your colleagues', and the participants' strengths, abilities, and interests. We are looking for you with a big heart and a genuine desire to make a difference. You enjoy working with people and have a strong sense of service. You work well with others and have the ability to be flexible and attentive when needed. We would like you to have education in healthcare and care and experience with alternative communication methods such as TAKK. It is highly meritorious if you have previous experience working with LSS, have good care experience, experience, and very good knowledge of challenging behavior, and are familiar with methods such as Studio 3 and action/interaction plans during affect.
