Your responsibilities
We are seeking nursing care staff for our special housing facility Lyckavägen in Leksand. If you're interested in working with us, you need to want to participate in our development and, together with colleagues, shape future working methods based on shared goals.
As nursing care staff, you work closely with elderly residents and assist them based on their individual needs. Your tasks include providing personal care and contributing to making the elderly residents' lives safe, meaningful, and stimulating, as well as maintaining contact with family members and documenting in our systems.
We work in multidisciplinary teams consisting of nursing care staff, nurses, rehabilitation specialists, and unit managers. The team also includes a quality leader and meal and activity coordinators who actively work to develop and improve the quality of our special housing facilities. The positions we are filling are at 100%, day/evening/weekend shifts.
Your profile
We are seeking trained nursing assistants and assistant nurses.
The work requires computer proficiency for documentation in IT systems.
Good Swedish language skills, both spoken and written, are required.
You must be able to obtain and maintain delegation to perform health and medical care tasks.
Previous experience in care and welfare work is a merit.
Knowledge and experience working with a focus on dementia care is a merit.

You have empathetic ability and can understand the elderly resident's life situation. In your role, you meet elderly residents, their family members, and colleagues from different professions – therefore, collaborative ability, communication, and respect are important qualities.
The workday can sometimes be different than planned, but in these situations, you remain calm, balance different demands, and reprioritize your tasks. You are open, respectful, and always keep the elderly resident's best interests in focus.
Since nursing care work is physically demanding, it is important that you have good mobility and basic physical fitness.
About the workplace
In a beautiful setting in the village of Tibble, two kilometers outside central Leksand, lies the municipality's special housing facility Lyckavägen. Lyckavägen opened in December 2021 and consists of four wings with modern standards and several areas for social gathering, both indoors and outdoors. In total, there are eight small units, with nine residents per unit. At Lyckavägen, two units specialize in dementia care.
At the facility, nursing care staff work around the clock to support the elderly. The work is based on the individual's physical, psychological, and social needs using a person-centered approach.
