The position is placed within the Community Development Department, which works on municipal-wide issues such as strategic and physical planning, authority functions within environmental and building matters, and regional development. The department also has overall responsibility for the municipality's technical services within waste management and sanitation, water and wastewater, streets, roads, and parks. The department works on behalf of the Municipal Board and the Community Development Board.

WORK TASKS

As a park worker, you maintain and care for outdoor environments in Gnesta Municipality. The work includes, among other things, grass cutting, weed control, clearing vegetation, sanitation, and care of the municipality's playgrounds, swimming areas, and sports facilities. The position also includes irrigation and care of the municipality's plants. The foundation of the work is to create beautiful environments for people to spend time in.
As an employee, you will be part of a work team with shared responsibility for planning and executing the described tasks, as well as performing other work assignments that exist within the Street Unit. Winter maintenance is part of the position.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone who creates positivity and shows initiative, who is 18 years old and is prepared to work in outdoor environments, regardless of weather. It is of great importance that you are responsible and flexible at work, can work independently to solve tasks, and equally important is that you can communicate, listen, and work well in a group. It is crucial that you get things done, are structured, and enjoy having many tasks at hand. Great weight will be placed on personal suitability.
Experience with the above work or experience from work that the employer considers equivalent is a requirement.
Category B manual driver's license is a requirement.
Experience with tractor driving and green area maintenance equipment is a requirement.
Chainsaw certification is highly desirable.
Meritorious are also horticultural training or experience with garden care, operation of smaller equipment, certification for work using lifts and work platforms, and experience with forestry work. Since minor carpentry and repairs occur, we would appreciate if you have some documented construction technical competence.
