Arla Plast is now expanding its production in Borensberg with additional machine operators. The role is broad and varied, and you will be involved in all stages of the manufacturing process. About Arla Plast Arla Plast is a leading manufacturer and supplier of extruded sheets in technical plastic materials with a wide range of applications including safety products, machine guards, ice hockey rinks, greenhouses, pool covers, sound barriers, luggage, vehicle components, and other building-related applications. The company has its head office in Borensberg and a total of six production facilities in Sweden, the Czech Republic, Spain, and Finland, as well as a distribution unit in Germany. Arla Plast has annual sales of approximately 1,400 MSEK, employs approximately 400 staff, and supplies to more than 1,200 customers in over 50 countries. About the Position Today we have approximately 40 machine operators distributed across three production sections at Arla Plast in Borensberg – and we want to grow further. Therefore, we are now seeking additional machine operators to join our team for employment in autumn 2026. When you start with us, you will begin with comprehensive internal training where you are trained as a machine operator. The training lasts approximately six months and is conducted on one of our seven extrusion machines, where you will gradually build up both technical knowledge and practical experience. Once you are fully trained as a machine operator, you will take full responsibility for production on your machine during your shift. In the role, you work closely with your shift colleagues with the goal of producing plastic sheets in as efficient and quality-conscious a manner as possible. Our products are delivered to customers around the world and are used in, among other applications, machine and personal protection, ski lifts, pool covers, and vehicle interiors. Your Tasks As a machine operator, you will have a broad and varied workday where you participate in the entire manufacturing process. The tasks include everything from starting and monitoring production to reporting in business and production systems, documenting manufacturing, and performing both manual and mechanical process steps. You are also responsible for performing quality inspections to ensure that our products meet the correct quality standards. You work both independently and in close collaboration with colleagues on your shift. The role gives you the opportunity to influence and develop operations daily through active and continuous improvement work. Because we distinguish ourselves through a high quality level, thoroughness and responsibility are important qualities in every aspect of the work. Your Profile We require that you have upper secondary education as a foundation, preferably with a focus on industry or technology, and that you have previous experience from process industry or similar operations. As a person, you are quality-conscious, thorough, and technically interested with a curious attitude to your work. You are comfortable taking responsibility, can make decisions even at a fast pace, and have good stress tolerance. The position requires basic computer skills, and because the work largely involves reading and following instructions, you need to have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. Forklifts and traveler certifications are merits. More About the Position Working hours are arranged in 2-, 3-, or 4-shift patterns, which means you need to be flexible and willing to work constant day shifts, constant night shifts, or mixed shifts. Our shifts are structured with 12.2-hour work periods, and on average you work approximately three days per week. During your first time with us, you will go through an introduction and training period. The training begins with work as machine support and subsequently transitions to the role of machine operator. During parts of the training period, you will also do shift-based practice, where you have the opportunity to strengthen your knowledge in both the machine support and machine operator roles. The position is a permanent employment that begins with a 6-month probationary period. Our Offer With us, you become part of an engaged and supportive team with experienced colleagues who share a common focus on quality, collaboration, and development. You get the opportunity to work with market-leading products in an international and customer-oriented company where professionalism and long-term commitment characterize the business.
