Lindholmen Technical Gymnasium has approximately 1,000 students and 90 employees and offers Gothenburg's broadest range of technical education – both practical and theoretical. You can study the Electrical and Energy Program, the Industrial Technology Program, Maritime Education, the Technology Program, and the HVAC and Building Systems Program. The school is certified as a Technology College, and the HVAC and Building Systems program is also certified as an HVAC College, which means close collaboration with the industry and high-quality education. The ventilation track at Lindholmen Technical Gymnasium is Sweden's first industry-certified ventilation education within an HVAC College. Job Responsibilities As a trade teacher with us, you will plan, implement, and develop instruction together with your colleagues in your work team. You will primarily teach subjects within the ventilation track and partly in HVAC and building systems subjects. We appreciate if you have experience in multiple areas such as HVAC, refrigeration, building systems, but especially within the ventilation field. You will work with practical and varied instruction where student development is at the center, and you will provide continuous feedback to help them reach their full potential. An important part of the role is contact with the workplace, and you will, among other things: Oversee student work-based learning (APL). Collaborate with companies regarding APL placements. Communicate with APL supervisors and companies. Participate in industry advisory boards to develop the education in line with industry needs. You will thereby be an important bridge between school and working life. The role also includes mentoring where you support students in their studies and development. This work is conducted in collaboration with student services, guardians, and external stakeholders. Qualifications We are looking for someone with professional experience in the HVAC and building systems field and current industry knowledge and broad expertise, particularly in the ventilation area. A teaching credential is desirable but not required. The most important thing for us is your professional competence and your dedication. If you lack a teaching credential, we can offer a fixed-term contract, and for the right person, there is an opportunity to earn your teaching credential during employment.
