Duties We are now seeking a vocational teacher, registered nurse, or nursing assistant with the authorization to teach in the Health and Care Program at upper secondary level, with competence in Anatomy and Physiology, Emergency Medicine, and Health Care. A small part of the position may also involve teaching in the Vocational Introduction Health and Care program, one of our introductory programs. As a vocational teacher at Birger Sjöberggymnasiet, you are part of the work team for the Health and Care Program. The team takes collective responsibility for all students in the program. Work with students takes place in close collaboration between vocational teachers and teachers who teach in the upper secondary subjects. Teaching in vocational courses and mentoring for these students are prioritized tasks, as are making workplace learning visits and collaborating with external partners in the field. We believe you want to be involved in further developing the Health and Care Program and Birger Sjöberggymnasiet. You need to be comfortable working with young people and also demonstrate a strong ability to motivate students in their learning, communicating in a positive, attentive, and clear manner. In your teaching, it is evident that you have a holistic view of student learning—for example, by inviting interdisciplinary work where vocational subjects and upper secondary subjects meet. You are skilled at building good relationships with both students, parents, and colleagues. You are driven by what can be achieved through collegial learning and are involved in developing the program, the school, and the work of the team. Qualifications Licensed Vocational Teacher, Registered Nurse, or Nursing Assistant with authorization in Anatomy and Physiology, Emergency Medicine, and Health Care.
