Your Assignment Praktiska Gymnasiet in Örnsköldsvik is growing, and we therefore need to strengthen our organization by adding another vocational instructor to our hairdressing and styling program. This is a temporary position at 100% starting immediately or by agreement. You will teach and mentor our students in the hairdressing and styling program, covering both the hairdressing track and the hair and makeup styling track. Together with two other hairdressing and styling instructors, you will be part of a teaching team consisting of both vocational and core subject teachers with shared mentorship. We see you as an important and driving force who, with students as our focus and in collaboration with your colleagues, will help develop both the program and the subject. We primarily work in the platforms StudyBee, Schoolsoft, and Google environment through sharing digital documents, calendars, and planning. Your Profile We are looking for a licensed vocational instructor in hairdressing with a passionate interest in hair styling, styling, and creative hairstyles. Experience and knowledge in makeup are merits. We place great emphasis on personal qualities. If you lack teaching credentials, you have the opportunity to apply for the position. In such cases, we will jointly develop a plan for how you can become licensed. Your responsibilities include contact with businesses, as at least 50% of students' total school time, and up to 80% of vocational courses in Year 3, consist of workplace-based learning (APL). It is beneficial if you have established contacts in the industry and an active industry network that you can contribute. We value your ability to meet students based on their knowledge and needs, and that you identify with our values and our guiding principles.
