Ref: 20261921 We at Universitetsholmen Gymnasium are seeking a vocational instructor for the electrical and energy program, which also includes teaching entrepreneurship. Responsibilities As a vocational instructor, you work to help students develop their full potential – both academically and socially. You support, motivate, and encourage each student to meet the knowledge requirements according to their abilities, preparing them for their future professional role. Your work includes planning, teaching, and assessment, as well as evaluation and development of educational activities in accordance with the school's guidelines. In your mentoring role, you support students in their academic progress and conduct development conversations. We are a learning organization that promotes knowledge exchange, where you work in an environment characterized by collegial learning and development. Together with colleagues, you work to create a good learning and working environment for both students and staff. You also contribute to quality and development work at the school. Qualifications Requirements: Vocational instructor certification with authorization to teach vocational courses in the electrical and energy program. Alternatively, completed education within the relevant field at upper secondary or post-secondary level that the employer deems relevant. Several years of professional experience in the relevant industry and very strong subject knowledge Experience using digital tools for communication and pedagogy Very good Swedish in speaking and writing. Meritorious: Authorization to teach electrical engineering, installation technology, electrical measurement technology, and/or entrepreneurship Industry-specific certification Experience in teaching and/or mentoring. We are looking for someone who is confident in the vocational instructor role and who creates good conditions for students' learning and development. You adapt your teaching to the student's and group's abilities and prior knowledge through a creative approach and very strong pedagogical skills. Your work is characterized by good structure, and you prioritize and organize tasks efficiently. Additionally, you contribute to good collaboration and communicate openly, clearly, and attentively with your surroundings. You understand how students' background, culture, and previous experiences affect learning and interactions, and you create an inclusive learning environment where everyone has the opportunity to succeed.
