Job Responsibilities We are seeking a vocational teacher specializing in heavy vehicles and truck mechanics. You will teach adult students pursuing vocational training as truck mechanics at Komvux. Teaching includes both theoretical classroom instruction and practical guidance in the workshop, where students practice troubleshooting, service, repairs, and maintenance of heavy vehicles. As a vocational teacher, you are responsible for planning, implementing, and following up on instruction. You also maintain contact with students during their workplace-based learning (APL), and visits to workshops before and during APL are a natural part of your daily work. You are part of an engaged team of teachers and coordinators, where teamwork is central to our success. We also offer vocational training combined with SFI and Swedish as a second language. This means you need a genuine interest and drive to teach students who are at different stages of language development. Qualifications We are looking for someone with vocational teacher training in vehicles and heavy vehicles. For a permanent position, teacher certification is required. Do you not yet have vocational teacher training? If you have many years of experience in the industry as a truck mechanic or technician for heavy vehicles and want to take the step to become a teacher, you are also welcome to apply, provided you have the professional competence required to teach in the field. Within the Education Administration, there is an opportunity for untrained vocational teachers to study to become vocational teachers partly on paid work time. Requirements for the position: · Relevant professional experience as a truck mechanic, heavy vehicle technician, or equivalent. It is meriting if you have: · Vocational teacher training and/or teacher certification. · Driver's license category C · Experience with modern diagnostic equipment, electrical/hybrid systems, or hydraulics on heavy vehicles. · Training or certification in AC/climate systems or systems for heavy vehicles. · Hot work certification Who Are You?
