Responsibilities We are seeking a vocational instructor specializing in heavy vehicles and truck mechanics. You will teach adult students pursuing vocational training to become truck mechanics at our adult education center (Komvux). Teaching includes both theoretical instruction in the classroom and practical guidance in the workshop, where students practice troubleshooting, service, repairs, and maintenance of heavy vehicles. As a vocational instructor, you are responsible for planning, implementing, and following up on instruction. You also maintain contact with students during their work-based learning (APL) placements, and visits to workshops before and during APL are a natural part of your daily work. You will be part of an engaged team of instructors and coordinators, where teamwork is central to our success. We also offer vocational training combined with Swedish for immigrants (SFI) and Swedish as a second language. This means you need to have a genuine interest and drive to teach students who are at different stages of language development. Qualifications We are seeking someone with vocational instructor training focused on vehicles and heavy vehicles. For a permanent position, teacher certification is required. Do you not yet have vocational instructor training? If you have many years of experience from the industry as a truck mechanic or heavy vehicle technician and want to take the step to become an instructor, you are also welcome to apply, provided you have the professional expertise required to teach in this field. Within the Education Administration, there is an opportunity for non-certified vocational instructors to study to become vocational instructors partly during paid work time. Requirements for the position: · Relevant professional experience as a truck mechanic, heavy vehicle technician, or equivalent. It is advantageous if you have: · Vocational instructor training and/or teacher certification. · Class C driver's license · Experience with modern diagnostic equipment, electrical/hybrid systems, or hydraulics on heavy vehicles. · Training or certification in AC/climate systems or systems for heavy vehicles. · Hot work certification Who are you?
