Mönsterås komvux is a smaller unit responsible for approximately 160 students in total. Some of these study through our distance learning provider or vocational training in other municipalities. Our on-site operations include Swedish for immigrants (sfi), basic and upper secondary courses, adapted education, and upper secondary vocational training for nursing assistants and assistant nurses. The school is certified within the Care and Health Services College. Currently, 11 teachers and 1 careers and guidance counselor work together to provide our students with the best possible education. WORK DUTIES We are now seeking an engaged and knowledgeable vocational teacher in care and health services for Mönsterås komvux. Our current teacher is working reduced hours, so we are now seeking a part-time vocational teacher to work with training nursing assistants and assistant nurses. You will teach subjects within care and health services and become part of the teaching team that teaches at basic and upper secondary levels at komvux. You need to be able to teach all subject levels in the assistant nurse vocational package. The different subject levels are available on the Skolverket website. During the spring, teaching is primarily planned for subject levels focused on nursing care and health and medical care. The position is 60% full-time. The employment degree may be expanded in the future. Salary range 42,300-44,200 kr at full-time QUALIFICATIONS The operations require great flexibility, commitment, and cooperation skills. You need to be able to work independently, take personal responsibility, take initiative, and work focused on ensuring that all students achieve the goals and the operations' common quality objectives. You need to have the ability to work in a language-developing manner since the training we offer are also combination programs for students with Swedish as a second language. You also need good IT and computer skills, as digital tools are used daily. In care and health services, APL (work-based learning) is an important part that for the teacher includes the entire process from acquiring and coordinating to visiting students, conducting three-party meetings, following up, assessing, and grading. Based on operational needs, work duties may also include supporting interventions, mentoring students, exam supervision, validation, and testing. For this position, you need to be a licensed nurse with experience from various operations in both municipal and regional settings.
