The Education Administration is one of Mjölby Municipality's six departments and is responsible for preschool, primary school, upper secondary school, adapted primary and upper secondary education, and adult education. With approximately 1,000 employees, we offer education that promotes all children and students in lifelong learning and work according to the vision "high academic results in a school where everyone can and wants to be."
Dackeskolan, with approximately 320 students, is centrally located in Mjölby. We offer vocational preparatory programs that give our students the opportunity to enter the workforce immediately after graduation while also earning upper secondary school qualification. Our programs include building and construction, electrical and energy, vehicles and transport, industrial technology, goldsmithing, and restaurant and food services. We also have an adapted upper secondary school offering two national programs and one individual program.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
You will primarily teach vocational subjects within building construction on our building and construction program. Teaching in the adapted upper secondary school may also be relevant.
As a teacher with us, you have strong subject knowledge and the ability to use varied teaching methods to inspire students' desire, interest, and motivation to learn. You are a clear and engaged leader who inspires, challenges, and builds trusting relationships with your students. Through continuous feedback, you help students understand how they are progressing in relation to learning objectives and guide them in their continued development to reach their full potential. The position also includes mentoring, where you play an important role in following up on and supporting students' academic development and study situation.
You work closely with colleagues, program teams, and school leadership to develop instruction and ensure it maintains high quality and aligns with current regulations and industry developments.
As a vocational instructor, you are responsible for the program's workshop and materials and for maintaining and developing industry contacts. This includes collaboration on work-based learning (APL) and program development. You help students develop a strong professional identity and acquire the knowledge and skills needed to be well-prepared for work in the building construction industry after completing their studies.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone with a vocational certificate in carpentry and several years of professional experience and thorough knowledge of the trade. We see that you have an upper secondary school diploma or equivalent education. It is an asset if you have a teaching degree and are an authorized vocational instructor in building construction. Pedagogical experience or experience mentoring apprentices and students is also an asset. A Class B driver's license is a requirement.
You have strong subject knowledge and use varied pedagogical methods to inspire curiosity, interest, and motivation in students. You are a clear and trustworthy leader who builds positive relationships and creates a positive classroom climate. You provide continuous feedback and guide students in their academic development in relation to goals.
You plan and organize your work in a structured way and find it easy to set goals, organize resources, follow up, and complete activities. You have good stress resilience, handle difficult situations calmly, and remain positive when facing challenges. You are also open to feedback and use it to develop yourself. You work well with people in different contexts and roles. You build and maintain good relationships, both within the school and with external partners.
