This part-time position involves planning, documenting, and delivering instruction in our early childhood & recreation and health & care services programs. Teaching takes place online but may also occur in the classroom and through distance learning. This requires strong digital competence and the ability to learn quickly. As an instructor with us, you will also be responsible for assessment, practical components, and examinations in the various courses/subjects included in the programs. Everything is conducted in accordance with applicable regulations, guidelines, and agreements with our stakeholders, as well as our internal policies, procedures, and guidelines. Administrative tasks related to the position such as preparation and follow-up for instruction are included. Monitoring of internship placements and some internship placement coordination are part of the role. Additionally, you may be called upon to facilitate instructor training.
As an instructor in adult education, your task is to lead and teach students. Therefore, it is important that you are engaged and have pedagogical aptitude as well as the ability to motivate and inspire our students. You are passionate about working closely with students in their learning and personal development by being accessible and assisting them in their studies, and you employ an inclusive approach. Experience with adult education, multicultural work, and digital learning are merits. You should be positive about collaborative pedagogical work, able to take own initiatives, and able to work both independently and as part of a team. As we are a smaller educational organization, it is valuable if you have the ability to see opportunities, want to be involved in developing our operations, and thrive in a dynamic and goal-oriented environment where everyone works toward the same objectives and supports one another. The position requires physical presence at the school premises.
We appreciate that you are organized, flexible, and solution-focused. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability and creativity. As an applicant, you must be qualified to teach subjects within health & care services and early childhood & recreation; if you hold a license, that is a plus. If you are a licensed registered nurse, we view that positively. We would also appreciate if you are an instructor in S-CPR, Adult CPR, and Pediatric CPR. We welcome applicants with prior teaching experience in upper secondary school and/or adult education. Experience with Alvis, Sharepoint, and Itslearning is a plus.
