We are now seeking a vocational teacher for the construction and civil engineering program at Alströmergymnasiet! Alströmergymnasiet has approximately 1,450 students distributed across 13 national programs, adapted upper secondary school, and introductory programs. Currently, we are at the top as the natural choice for the municipality's young people when selecting an upper secondary school, and we continuously strive to maintain this position.
The Construction and Civil Engineering Program provides students with education that has a clear connection to working life and excellent opportunities to enter the industry directly after upper secondary school. Here, classroom instruction is combined with workplace-based learning, where students apply their knowledge in practice and develop their professional skills at real workplaces. As a vocational teacher, you will be an important part of providing students with an education that equips them for the future of work.

JOB DUTIES
In your role as a vocational teacher in the Construction and Civil Engineering Program, you will teach students in the program's three specializations: house construction, painting, and earthworks and construction. Together with your colleagues, you will be responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating instruction based on students' different needs and circumstances, with the goal of providing them with the knowledge and skills required to work in the construction and civil engineering industry after completing their education.
An important part of the assignment is workplace-based learning (APL), where students have the opportunity to develop their professional knowledge at workplaces. You collaborate with colleagues and experienced professionals in the industry to create education with close connections to working life. Together, you develop instruction and continuously work to monitor and improve the quality of the program.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for you who:
• are a vocational teacher with qualifications to teach vocational subjects in the construction and civil engineering program
• have professional experience in construction and civil engineering
It is advantageous if you have experience in a similar role teaching upper secondary school students.
We are looking for someone who enjoys collaborating with colleagues and other professionals and who contributes to good cooperation around student learning. You have good pedagogical insight and adapt instruction based on students' different circumstances and needs. With your specialist knowledge in construction and civil engineering, you can apply your professional expertise in your teaching and stay current within the industry.
