Your responsibilities In your role as a vocational teacher, you will teach and mentor students in the electrical and energy program. You will teach automation subjects or electrical engineering, depending on your expertise. Your position will be matched against our existing competencies in the work team. Part of the work also involves arranging apprenticeship placements for students. An extensive network of contacts with companies in Västmanland is an advantage, since each student completes at least 16 weeks of workplace-based learning. As a teacher in the Electrical and Energy Program, you are part of a work team and have responsibility for mentoring. One of the most rewarding parts of the work is your meetings with students, where you have the opportunity each day to influence, engage, and motivate them. Your qualifications We are looking for you who has a vocational teacher degree or other experience that is deemed relevant for the position. You have good professional experience in electrical engineering and/or automation technology, as well as a good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish. You can conduct apprenticeship visits and maintain contact with apprenticeship placements. We also want you to have knowledge of handling computers in your daily work. Experience with teaching and holding a teaching license is considered advantageous. As a person, you have good pedagogical insight, you are confident and stable, and you work well with other people. You enjoy leading, motivating, and supporting others so that together you can effectively reach common goals.
