About the Unit As a career counselor, you will be placed at the squadron staff's personnel function (A1) and you will also support the communications department with, for example, photography assignments for social media. The career counselor is part of a team working with attraction, recruitment, and marketing for both the squadron and the Swedish Armed Forces. Main Responsibilities Your main task as a career counselor is to inspire young people to complete basic training with military service, and to get more conscripts to maintain continued engagement in the Swedish Armed Forces. This is accomplished through, among other things, school information, staffing at the Duty and Trial Office where you speak with applicants undergoing military assessment, and participation in central trade fairs and events together with colleagues from throughout the Swedish Armed Forces. As a career counselor at F 16, you support the recruitment coordinator in organizing events on and off the squadron. This includes organizing recruitment and information events for our conscripts, arranging work experience placements (PRAO) at the squadron, and coordinating school visits. You will also follow the unit's units during exercises to photograph/document and publish information on social media. As a career counselor, you will also work with relationship management in our customer care database (CRM). Evening and weekend duty may occur. REQUIREMENTS Qualifications Completed basic training (GU) with approved grades Class B driver's license Personal Qualities You must have a solid interest in and commitment to the Swedish Armed Forces and be able to act as an ambassador for the organization and our operations. The role requires that you are communicative and attentive, and have excellent ability to express yourself verbally and in writing. The work also requires that you are initiative-taking, self-directed, and creative. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability. MERITS Education in communication/digital communication or similar. Education in photography and image editing. Experience recently serving as a group leader in the Swedish Armed Forces. One or more military driver's licenses. Completed international assignment.
