Your Role This position is a fixed-term employment at 80% during the school year, with good opportunities for extension. As the position is 80%, working hours are mainly scheduled during the school day. Your primary task is to work closely with two students in 4th grade. You will serve as their source of security and support in school life, both during lessons and at recess. Your main responsibilities include: Support in daily activities: Help students structure, focus, and complete their schoolwork. Security & Interactions: Create conditions for calm and a good study environment through adapted and predictable interactions. Social support: Support students in social interactions, recess, and transitions between different activities during the school day. Collaboration: Work closely with the class teacher, special education team, and other staff to create a sustainable and adapted school environment. Your Profile We are looking for someone with relevant education (for example, childcare worker, student assistant, or equivalent) or experience working with children who need special support. Meritorious: It is highly advantageous if you have knowledge of and experience with NPF (neuropsychiatric conditions) and low-arousal approaches. Qualities: You are a calm, stable, and persistent adult with great patience. You have the ability to read situations before they escalate and can quickly adapt based on students' daily mood and needs. Relationship builder: You have a talent for creating trusting relationships with both students and adults.
