General Secondary Education Teacher

Valmiera State Gymnasium (hereinafter – the Institution) invites applications for an English language teacher (profession code 2330 01) on an indefinite basis. Expected employment start date: September 1, 2026. Work location: Pāvila Rozīša iela 40, Valmiera, Valmieras novads. If you have the desire to: implement educational programs in the subject ENGLISH LANGUAGE (primary school, secondary school) in accordance with the State Education Standard; manage the pedagogical process with students, applying innovative opportunities and methodologies offered by information technologies; participate in the implementation of the Institution's development goals and objectives, as well as projects carried out by the educational institution; prepare students for olympiads and competitions; and if you have: education in accordance with Cabinet of Ministers Regulations No. 569 "Regulations on the Education and Professional Qualifications Required by Pedagogues and the Procedure for Professional Development of Pedagogues" or are a student; compliance with the requirements established by the Education Law and the Child Rights Protection Law; knowledge of regulatory acts governing the field of education; knowledge of the content of teaching and upbringing work; state language proficiency in accordance with the requirements of the State Language Law; computer skills (MS Office applications, web browsers – Microsoft Edge, Chrome, or Mozilla Firefox) and educational technologies; competencies: good communication skills; psychological resilience and social etiquette; ability to make decisions, capability to respond and act in non-standard situations; we offer: salary in accordance with Cabinet of Ministers Regulations No. 445 "Regulations on Teacher Remuneration" (minimum hourly rate 9.79 EUR/h); 21 contact hours per week, for grades 7–12; employer co-financed health insurance after probation period completion, as well as other social guarantees/benefits in accordance with work results and regulatory requirements; opportunity to work in a dynamic environment at Valmiera State Gymnasium.
