Your Next Challenge As a Timber Buyer, you are responsible for contact and business relationships with individual forest owners, to whom you offer advice and services that develop their forest ownership. You are the forest owner's primary contact person within your geographic timber buyer area and are responsible for the entire business process – from initial contact to completed transaction. An important part of your duties is to proactively reach out to forest owners to learn about their current and future needs for managing their forests. You meet forest owners both in the forest and at the office, and part of the advisory and business conversations take place digitally. The role of Timber Buyer is perfect for you if you are motivated by combining relationships, business acumen, and a structured work approach. Through your commitment and drive, you structure and plan your work to achieve your set goals. The Market Function has over one hundred employees, and your immediate team consists of 10 timber buyers and a present, supportive manager. We place great importance on your personal qualities and are seeking someone who is goal-oriented, self-driven, and structured. You have a talent for building long-term relationships, enjoy proactive outreach, and put in hard work to achieve your goals. To be the right person for the position, you need forestry expertise and a strong commitment to forest-related matters. You may have a forestry education, own your own forest property, or currently work as a Timber Buyer or in another professional role connected to the forestry industry. Your success in the role also depends on the right personal qualities for a sales and relationship-building role. You have good collaboration skills and are skilled at creating both confidence and trust with those you meet. You enjoy nurturing and strengthening relationships while working independently toward set goals. Challenges motivate you, and you have the perseverance to not give up at the first setback. You have a Class B driver's license (we provide a company car) and are fluent in Swedish, both spoken and written.
