About the Position As a contracting engineer in industrial piping, you will play a central role in our operations. You will work broadly and be responsible for calculating and submitting bids on inquiries that we agree upon within the department and company. With responsibility for evaluating and following up on budgets and monitoring project progress, you ensure that we deliver according to the requirements specified in the contract. You will also actively search for new projects to bid on. As a contracting engineer, you work closely with the sales manager, site manager, and other colleagues. Key Responsibilities · Customer and supplier visits · Organize and manage bid and quote flows · Create budgets and prepare bid documentation · Analyze drawings and specifications to determine materials and labor costs · Monitor the market for interesting opportunities · Plan and prepare for project launch together with the project team · Work closely with project management, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure project success · Review and approve supplier invoices · Budget and forecast work · Assist with procurement and contract matters We are Looking for Someone Who · Has a college degree in a relevant field, or has acquired equivalent knowledge through extensive work experience · Ideally has experience managing projects in industrial piping or held similar roles previously · Has good knowledge of Swedish and English. If you speak Finnish, we see it as an asset. · Has a B driver's license · Has good computer skills (Office suite) · Focuses on sound business practices Personal Qualities We are looking for someone who is engaged and wants to develop with us at VINAB.
