On many farms, people work alone for much of the day. Here, it's different.
We are around twelve committed employees with various skills in agriculture, animal care, dairy production, charcuterie, construction, and land work. We start the day together, take breaks together, eat lunch together, and help each other when challenges arise.
You will never be expected to solve everything on your own. We believe that the best results are created when people work together.
About Resta Gård and Stora Bärby
We are an organic farm outside Enköping with approximately 500 hectares of crop production, milk production, beef cattle, sheep, pigs, our own farm dairy, farm charcuterie, and farm shops.
We grow animal feed, grain, including heritage grains, and work long-term for biodiversity and high animal welfare.
We believe that animals should live as naturally as possible. Our calves live together with their cows, lambs with their ewes, and pigs have the opportunity to express their natural behaviors. We are convinced that healthy animals, good environment, and high food quality go together.
Your Assignment
In recent years, we have invested heavily in the farm. We have built up a modern machinery fleet with all the machines and tools needed for 500 hectares of arable land. We have developed our operations rapidly, perhaps too rapidly.
At the same time, we are the first to acknowledge that we have not been good enough at creating the order, preventive maintenance, and routines that we ourselves want to stand for and the condition we want to have in crop production.
It's about the hundreds of small things that together make a farm truly well-maintained. Harrowing the rows in time, test running before harvest so that problems are detected early, not when it's time to harvest.
A wear part that should have been replaced. A belt that should have been reinstalled. A tool that needs to be gone through more carefully, lubricated, tightened. Better routines for service, organization, and maintenance.
We know that this won't change overnight.
We believe it will take at least a year to build up the level we want to reach.

Who Are You?
You like modern agricultural machinery and see them as investments that should be cared for.
You like troubleshooting.
You appreciate order.
You prefer to leave the workshop a little cleaner than when you arrived.
You don't just see today's tasks – you see how the farm could function even better in a year, five years, or ten years.
You may have grown up on a farm where you learned early to take responsibility for both animals and machines. Perhaps you have instead built up your experience through many years in the profession. For us, practical experience is more important than what education you have.
The Work
No two days are the same.
The work mainly involves crop production, maintenance and servicing of machines, simple repairs, preventive maintenance, documentation and development of routines, and to some extent animal care.
You will work closely with both me, Anna, and our stable manager Matilda. We share a strong commitment to agriculture and are involved in the day-to-day work. We discuss ideas, solve problems together, and help each other when something needs to be reprioritized.

Salary: 34,000–40,000 kr/month depending on experience. The role is intended to develop over time and for the right person there are good opportunities for both increased responsibility and continued salary development.
There is an expression that is often used at Resta Gård.
"We slice the elephant."
It means that no problem is too big if you break it down into sufficiently small pieces.
The bigger the challenge, the thinner slices we cut. Then we take one slice at a time.
It pretty much describes how we work.
