We are looking for a business-oriented Building Assessor with a focus on material reuse The construction and real estate sector is undergoing its biggest transformation ever. We see enormous potential in utilizing materials that already exist, and we are now looking for you to be our key person in making material reuse a standard practice. As our new Building Assessor, you will be the face of our company to construction companies, contractors, and municipal property companies. Your role is to identify the potential in existing buildings and lead the process of surveying, valuing, and reusing building materials. Your role and responsibilities This is an offensive role where you combine technical expertise with business development. You will work closely with our customers to demonstrate both environmental and economic benefits of reuse. Surveying & Valuation: Conduct thorough site visits to assess the condition, quality, and potential for reuse of materials. Business Development: Actively seek out and build relationships with construction companies, contractors, and municipal property companies. You sell our services and show how we create value in their projects. Consulting: Be the obvious expert who guides the customer through the entire process – from demolition planning to completed reuse. Network Building: Create and maintain partnerships that make us the preferred partner in circular construction. We are looking for you who knows the material inside and out Succeeding in this role does not necessarily require an academic engineering degree. What is most important is that you have a solid understanding of construction processes and material knowledge from practical work. We believe you have experience from, for example: Construction Production: You have worked as a site manager, carpenter, demolition contractor, or project manager and know how to assemble and disassemble building components. Property Management/Operations: You have worked with maintenance and renovation and have an eye for what is worth preserving and reusing. Building Supply or Material Sales: You have a good eye for material quality and understand the market value of different building products. Recycling Industry: You have worked with waste management or environmental surveying and now want to take the step to focus on reuse rather than recycling. This is your strength: You understand building technology: You understand the difference between demolishing and deconstructing. You know what it takes for a material to be functional and safe for future use. You have business-driven motivation: You understand that reuse is not just an environmental issue – it is a business opportunity for our customers.
